Day 1: Addis Ababa – Bale Mountains National Park:

Drive from Addis Ababa to Bale mountains national park and arrive at the park Headquarter’s in the afternoon hike for an hour possibly spotting two endemic Ethiopia mammals that frequently seen to area such as Mountain Nyala and Menelick Bushbuck and endemic forest birds. Overnigh Dinsho Lodge.

Day 2: Drive to sanetti plateau to the Harenna forest – Goba.

Early the following morning head to the sanetti plateau; as sun rises the most endangered canid in the world –the Ethiopian wolf begins to hunt. The sanetti plateau is the best place in Ethiopia too see elegant animal, and the winding road in Africa and is an ideal spot for viewings. The plateau is crawling with rodents, the largest being the Giant Molerat found only in Bale Mountains.

Look on the sky for soaring birds of prey such as Golden Eagle, Tawny Eagle and Verreaux Eagle as well as the Bearded Vulture (Lammergier), Lanner falcon and Augur buzzard. Continuing  again by car you will pass Tullu Deemtu or” Red Mountain” just 4km from off the main road. This is the second highest point in Ethiopia at 4377metres above sea level. As you reach the end of the plateau, you enter Harenna escarpment plunging more than 2000metre towards a vast tropical rain forest in just 8km and and have save drive in the forest chance too see primate species such as endemic Bale monkey, Coloubus monkey and so much more. In the late afternoon drive back to Goba Wabeshebelle hotel for overnight.

Day 3:Drive to sofomer cave – Goba.

Today after breakfast continuing to driving south east of Bale 125km from Goba.  Sofomer one of the longest underground cave in Africa, with a total length over 1.5metre.The meandering Web river lies in an entrenched George, 150 metre below a level basalt plateau. In the late afternoon drive back to Goba the same hotel.

Day 4: Drive Goba to Awassa.

Today drive to Awassa via shashemenne for refreshment in Awassa lakes. Awassa the best place for its fish market and boat trip.

Overnight Awassa.

Day 5:Drive Awassa to Addis.

Drive to Addis Ababa through the great rift valley routes and enroute chance to swim Langano lakes and Ziway lake where best place to see water birds such as Flamingos and Ducks.

Then transfer to the airport for your flight back home on your schedule of flight.
